All the fabrics coming out in the last 30 years are petroleum products, damn polyester... It's getting harder and harder to find cotton, linen and wool (all biodegradable btw). I looked all over town for some simple cotton dish towels... found them eventually, but they were expensive. This is the oil industry trapping more of the money that used to go to small farmers, destroying them and once again destroying the human animal... burning clothes is no different from burning plastic bottles.

One has to also ask who and why they invented 'fast fashion'? People are getting paid less compared to the rate of inflation, so 'quality' is no longer affordable for the general world populations, even in the richer countries. So the fashion industries came up with this model to keep the money flowing for inferior products. Once again, large corporations lobby governments to turn a blind eye to the well being of their citizens for the profits of a few.
