Start the endless wars in the Middle East, the Patriot Act which destroyed your right to privacy and to be safe from gov. invasion or right to a trial which basically sets in place the governments authority to declare the citizens "Terrorists" when convenient, hide the loss of Rumsfeld's's $2.3Trillion at the Pentagon (the financial area was what was hit). Basically all of this was invented to turn a formerly Democratic Republic into a Fascist state run by unseen and unelected hands.
