Yes as a gringa in Mexico I was rather shocked when I heard my European looking Mexican neighbors talking about some relative that married a dark skinned man in a belittling way, having come from California I thought I was leaving that sort of bigotry behind. But frankly this has always been the European colonialist way to keep 'the natives' subservient to their exploitation by making them feel 'less'... shameful really. Fortunately I was never raised that way by my doctor father, who always said that if you cut someone open, we are all the same inside. Simplistic and perhaps crude, but still an important lesson for me growing up and for everyone with delusions of grandeur simply because of a superficial skin color.

I actually lived in LLanelli 50 yrs ago when I was a 19 yr old kid, for a year and absolutely loved the Welsh... they were wonderful to this weird yank who showed up in their town and most were cheerful, friendly and helpful! Always meant to go back one day but never made it. 🙁

America has been nothing but a cash cow for corporations who squeeze the most out of you while paying and granting you as little health care and time off as possible.... and we've all been programmed to believe this is "normal". Not.

  13. I just ran across you today and thought I'd find some remodeling being done in France. Now I'm a gardener as well, but what's the point of a garden without working at making a comfortable house to clean up in after a hard day gardening? Are there any videos of what the house was and what has been done to the house over the last 2 years? Hmm.... white board: #1 Show original house and floor plan and it's possible history and age. Any out buildings? #2 What your plans are for the house in the future, new floor plan, heating, knocking down of walls, room by room. (Yes, you should have sanded the ceiling first) #3 Schematic of what you have in mind for outdoor living spaces and future garden beds #4. Look at other youtubers to see what they are doing and how they have shown the progression at their places, to get a frame of reference. #5 There are many free aids for plotting out your future dreams for the place, like Milanote. #6 Do give an overview of your area, nearest large town, province (you don't have to give your exact location) just a general idea of where we can place you in the country. What I've noticed after watching 2 or 3 of your videos is that they are very higgledy piggledy, for example this one is titled "Creating a home from nothing".... did you actually show or explain any of that? What nothing (I don't know what it looked like 'before') to what? Other than a piece of a blue room, stained ceiling and a plastered corner. So keep to a plan for each video and don't name them unless you're going to show us exactly what you say it will. I'm not trying to give you a hard time... whatever your name is (yes you can give us your first name so we can address YOU instead of just saying "Hey you", none of us were born at 32... we all followed a life progression from birth to adulthood and your fairly new property is exactly the same. Take us with you on the journey and show us! 😉 Best of luck!
