  2. Finland says they will likely join this summer. Sweden will likely join soon afterwards. Moldova and Ukraine will need a few years to get their military and government to meet NATO standards.

  4.  @TheJewishAzovMember  Although some historians will argue it was the Russian invasion of Manchuria and subsequent invasion of the Kurile Islands that forced Japan to end the war. However, I would agree that the atom bombs did help end the war as well. But you are right. From what I understand, the US is STILL using body bags that they ordered for the invasion of Japan in 1945 for their deceased soldiers. The US estimated it would suffer 1 million casualties invading Kyushu alone, and cause up to 5 million Japanese casualties. And that wasn't the main invasion to take place in March of 1946 near Tokyo Bay. Most people are completely unaware of these statistics.

  8. They were annoyed with the Ukrainian express delivery service sending munitions and detonators to the Moskva, and the rough handling of this cargo that caused the detonators to accidentally go off, damage the ship and cause it to sink.

  12. One thing that it is important to remember that the US and NATO are trying to put together an international coalition to stop Russia. By actually attacking Russia the US would lose any chance to take the high ground and continue rallying support for Ukraine on the international stage. Also, escalation does not need to be nuclear. If Russia declared war on NATO, they might feel justified in sending out their submarine fleet to attack international trade. Sinking enough bulk freighters and tankers would shut down the world's economy. Everyone seems focused on the nuclear option, but cutting all the oceanic trade routes would be catastrophic as well.

  13.  DANIEL  It is a lot more difficult to do things like end hunger in Africa. It takes time, effort, a knowledge of local customs, traditions, diet, and a whole lot of other things. What is really needed to end hunger in places like Africa is people on the ground, listening to the locals, finding out what can be done that fits with the needs of those people, and helping them become self sufficient. That said, yes, I do agree, the money being wasted on this war courtesy of Russia could be put to much better use improving living conditions in Africa, Asia and South America. And even the US.
