  1. What does anyone think January 6th was, if not an attempted coup? If some news reports are correct, Don Jr. met with Roger Stone and Michael Flynn a couple of days earlier. Then Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and the others spurred on a crowd containing right wing extremists to go to the Capitol. When the Capitol is attacked Donald Trump does nothing. Why? My guess he was hoping the energized Oath Keepers, etc. would break into the Senate Chamber and assault or kill a few of the politicians there. This has all the hallmarks of a coup d'etat, because this would be a perfect opportunity for Trump to declare martial law, suspend the government due to a national crisis, suspend habeas corpus and then retain power for as long as the crisis lasted. It would not surprise me if this is what was behind the entire "rally".

  2. How do you deal with a group that continually break their agreements? Based on the last 200+ years in Afghanistan, it was pretty much a no-win situation.
