I stumbled across a site a while back that graphed the number of civil wars throughout the world. It is very interesting that that the number of civil wars kept increasing during the Brezhnev years in the USSR up to a peak of around 50 countries suffering from civil wars. In the decade after the USSR collapsed, this number declined to less than 30. Since Putin came to power the number has been steadily increasing. What does this say? It means that roughly half the civil wars in the world are sponsored or caused by Russian intervention. Anyone notice how issues (unrest and civil wars) have been increasing in the Middle East since Putin took power?

Not only that, but the majority of their advanced spare parts came from the EU and US. Plus, the Russian railroad industry switched to using German "cartridge" bogey systems for their rail cars. They can't replace these. So as these bogies wear out or are damaged, they cannot be replaced. This means the entire Russian rail network is gradually falling apart, and could, in the near future, fail completely. This could, in the end, destroy the Russian economy completely.

The reason for these mass surrenders is because the troops in Russia don't have blocking units sitting behind them ready to shoot them if they do anything other than attack. Without the professional Russian army and Akhmat units sitting behind the units in Ukraine, we would see the same thing.

Years ago a journalist, I believe it was for Rolling Stone, exposed the connections between Trump and the Russian Mafia. Trump was using his casinos and real estate to help the Russian mafia with money laundering. What gets me is that none of the US law enforcement agencies have really investigated it, even though his Taj Mahal casino in New Jersey was accused of money laundering over 106 times.
