@asherkosmos4312 Don't forget the DC-3 is still flying in a civilian role. One of them flying out of Yellowknife dropped paratroopers on D-Day.

@TheTryingDutchman It would likely have been touch and go. The USSR also had the Warsaw Pact nations backing them up plus Ukraine and Belarus, which would have inflated their manpower considerably. However, they would likely have had similar command and control issues because of their training. So it is anyone's guess.

Very nice breakdown of the order of battle for a tank brigade. This helps provide a much needed perspective on how units deploy and fight, and what the military structure of the units fighting in Ukraine might look like. May also help explain why the Russians are having difficulties as well.

@absalomdraconis If by other means you are talking about subversion and starting civil wars, the USSR was doing that anyway. It is part of the communist modus operandi. Fortunately, they understood very little about economics, and trashed their own economy.
