  3. Those pneumatic tubes eerily remind me of "1984". No thanks! Those things should only be used for drive-thru banking. Lol. Ah, the party lines. Lol. They were horrible. Way worse than the rotary phones we were using at the same time. 🤣 "News reels" were the start of the mass propaganda... Yep, I'm old enough to remember phone booths, too. Lol. You can't find them around anymore, except in museums. I swear I'm not that old. Lol. It feels like I've been living in a time-warp era. 🤔

  7. Oh, I hate electric coil burners! They are hard to cook on. One of my relatives had a central vacuum back in the day. That thing was actually pretty awesome! Those hidden ironing boards were the bee's knees. Lol.

  8. Okay, now I feel like a relic because I remember TV Guides. Lol. We still get phone books around these parts, though I admit that the last one I have is from 2021. I guess that's when they truly stopped printing them...

  9. I'd love to see the option of full-service gas stations available again. Some people just don't want to (or can't) do all the things those attendants did for us. And yes, I'm just old enough to remember them. Lol. The really sad part is that even when it went to self-serve we used to be able reach over and grab a window cleaner/squeegee out of a fresh bucket of solution and clean our own windows while the gas was pumping. I've noticed a recent trend over the last several years where those aren't available, and neither are the paper towels they used to provide. I guess they don't want us to have clean windshields anymore. 🙄
