Having tampon machines in school in female bathrooms is nothing new. Sometimes you were caught starting your period in the middle of the school day and you didn't have anything on you for stopping the dam. No big deal. It's expected in female restrooms. Most of them did charge back in the day when I was younger. Nothing was for free except school lunches. If you were poor and couldn't afford tampons or pads, you had to report to the school nurse who would help you out.
