  1. Nobody except Presidents and Vice Presidents should have continued Secret Service security details after they are out of office (and I'm unsure if even they should have it). These people didn't have government-funded security before they held office. Why should they expect it when they leave? Most of them leave richer than when they came in, so they need to hire their own security details!
