I wish I had gotten paid for staying at home with my child and homeschooling him. I not only lost my independent income, but I also didn't make any money towards my social security for almost 20 years. The only government benefit we got was the annual $1000 credit for homeschooling through our state taxes. I couldn't even take advantage of our online high school (that we pay for in taxes) because they insisted that the kids be vaxxed--even though it was at-home learning! I don't care. It was worth it to keep my son out of public school.
