  1. I did feel pretty crappy as a white person for a while when I really sat and thought about how much blood had been shed in this country when Europeans came here to settle. I called Thanksgiving "Happy White Man's Holiday". Lol. I think I'm over it now, though. I learned more about the whole era and I also came to realize that I can't right those wrongs merely by feeling so bad about what happened. I didn't personally kill anyone and corral people to small tracts of land, and I'm not racist. So I really don't see why I should feel guilty about what happened so long ago. I do still feel sad about it, but not personally guilty. Same way with slavery. In fact, I've come to appreciate the fact that it was essentially white people who ended slavery in the Western world.
