Well, whoever does your editing is very good. π

It was the Minion house. So cute! I would so like to have a drone. It's just not high on my list of "must have" items at this point. I still have no idea how to edit videos on my iPhone. I can only manage on my laptop. Lol.

Β @ekdaufin1485Β Type in "cities with safe parking areas" in an internet search and you'll find many of them.

Β @stormyweather2807Β What's your point? You think that money should be going to people who illegally cross our borders rather than Americans who have gotten screwed by the government over the years?
1
I hope you all have a great time, Carol. I wish I could be there this winter but I'm stuck in Indiana for a while longer. Maybe next year!

What a well-intentioned and beautiful build! I vote yes on the youtube channel. It only seems natural since they are film makers. They can use this platform to make money and do what they love. π

I would have checked on her during the day. It's less traumatic to get a knock on the door during the daytime rather than at night.

Oh, he should definitely see jail time, if this is true. J6 Patriots have been sitting in the DC gulag for hundreds and hundreds of days just for trespassing in the Capitol (even though cops were holding the door open).

Zucchini is always plentiful in backyard gardens. They go wild. Lol.
1
Lol. Yeah, just give them food and water and watch them grow like weeds!

Great presentation, Carol. I've known of this oil for years but have never felt the urge to use it or make it. But if I were to do so, I would gently smash the garlic cloves with the broadside of a knife to release the good stuff. I can see using this oil to make a vinaigrette. No shame in using dried herbs. You just let it sit long enough to rehydrate. I almost exclusively use dry herbs and spices--even cilantro. Congrats on all your new subs. You're almost at 6500! π

π I know it might not be safe but I do think we should be policing ourselves. If one doesn't feel comfortable addressing the litter-bug personally, they should at least report the offender.

What a great rig and outlook! π

Β @gloriouslifeonwheels3621Β Oh wow! An older person could pass away before they got past the waiting list. π

Β @gloriouslifeonwheels3621Β Well before I came across nomadic living I was trying to find a place where I would be comfortable for most of the year. The only area in the USA I could find was San Diego County. Sadly, the high cost of living deterred me away from there. Now add on the southern border problem, and it's a total no-go for me.

This is outrageous!!! There is absolutely no excuse for this! If the government can send billions of dollars to foreign countries every year and let in millions of illegals into our own country to house and feed them, then they can very easily take care of our veterans. π

Hey Carol. Thanks for the shout-out. I learned that tip from Alton Brown for making potato salad. The potatoes are cooked whole then cut up. He boils them in a pot of water, which I started out doing many years ago, but I now cook my taters in my Instant Pot to save water and time. You can peel them or not. I leave the peels but if you don't want them, they do rub off very easily with a dish towel after cooking, which means you don't need a veggie peeler. You need to submerge the cooked potatoes in ice water if you want to make the peeling easy, though. As a nomad, I won't be using that precious water and ice since I don't care that the peels are on. It does make handling the potatoes a hot task, though. Lol. I tend to undercook my taters a smidge since I'm not cooling them down with ice water. They continue to cook on their own while sitting. After that the pieces go in a zipper top bag with a tablespoon or so of vinegar (to 3 lbs potatoes). I use organic apple cider vinegar. Into the fridge overnight. The next day I make up the salad dressing and combine it with the marinated potatoes in a big bowl. I always add some hard-boiled eggs, which I can also make in my IP. I don't follow Alton's recipe to a T because I'm just always tweaking recipes to suit my taste, but I've found this overnight marination tip to be invaluable. It has the added bonus of keeping the potatoes intact rather than having overly-mushy potato salad. π

I like the IP for the ease of making beans most of all, I think. I don't soak them or even rinse them. Just straight into the IP with water and chicken base for 50 min, natural release. They come out perfect and flavorful. From there I spice them up for refried beans. Oh, and it's the perfect appliance for roasts that you want to be able to shred with a fork. It's a huge time saver and keeps the heat down in the house.

Along the lines of what you were saying, I've had to use magnesium chloride spray on my body many times. Most people are actually deficient in magnesium. Stretching and using acupressure points really help.

Great video, Carol. π

I personally tweak recipes to contain the least amount of added sugar as possible while still tasting sweet enough. I can usually get away with cutting it in half at the very least. Once I started going organic and making all of my own deserts, my tastes changed. I have a hard time eating a normal doughnut or piece of cake, for example. My teeth literally cringe when I take a bite. I've come to notice that we, as a society, use way more sugar than needed--to our detriment. An excess amount can contribute to several illnesses. How's that for a public service announcement? Lol. π For this recipe, I would have definitely used only 1/4 cup corn syrup. Possibly an 1/8th of a cup. Sweet potatoes and yams are already really sweet, but you do need enough liquid to make a basting syrup. You can always use water or apple juice or cider; the latter two adding sweetness and thickness, of course. I usually just make it very simple on the bottom and add a streusal topping for sweetness and crunch. But that's a baked dish, of course.

I don't think I'd like living in this community. The houses are even closer than they are in my neighborhood. That might be okay if you were in perfect harmony with your neighbors, but that doesn't pan out most of the time. No side yard would also bug me. I guess it would be alright if you don't have plans involving an extended personal garden. I'm glad this is working out for Chris, though. π

Β @gloriouslifeonwheels3621Β I've seen that a lot on youtube. It's such a bummer when you can't visit a park because they don't allow your animals on trail. I understand it's for their safety, though, and for the safety of the wildlife.

Lisa is a super star!

Β @gloriouslifeonwheels3621Β Indeed she was.

Β @gloriouslifeonwheels3621Β Trump has never endorsed this "project", but the media keeps pushing that narrative. Yes, we'll see what happens. Hoping for the best for our citizens. ππ
