Some may not have the money/means to evacuate. Some may not want to leave their only property, especially for a storm that may or may not pan out the way it's predicted. No government should be allowed to force someone off their property in the end. If they know the risk and decide to stick it out, then that's their choice. Take the modern-day "Lieutenant Dan" from Tampa. He refused to leave his boat. He was instructed by God to tie up his boat and ride out the storm, and it worked. He didn't abandon his home, and he's still here among the living. He took it on faith that he would survive in his little ark. For better or worse. Lol. 9:15 mark: If there is a mandatory evacuation and you choose to ignore it, you are no longer eligible for emergency help. They make that very clear. Again, some aren't able to leave. Aid should definitely be extended to those who literally can't afford to leave the area. If you're just a stubborn person with nothing to lose, then that's on you. Again, for better or worse. Who are we to say that someone isn't allowed to go down with their ship if that's what they've decided to do? 🤷‍♀
