  2. I would expect more from a supposed military analyst, but then again, Puck already demonstrated beyond any doubt that he is just a propagandist. So here's a layman's perspective - the northern front was never intended for any deep offensive, as indicated by relatively small number of troops involved and by the fact, that Russians began constructing fortifications immediately. And since Ukraine reportedly redeployed around 30k troops there, it's clear that the purpose was to tie as many UA troops as possible and it worked. UA brigades are losing fighting capability one after another, it's basically another meatgrinder. The effects can of course be felt all over the frontline, as Puck himself admits that even the frontlines in Donbass that didn't move for years are now collapsing. Also, all UA activity in Kherson region ceased as a direct result and the only news we get from there is RF bombing the other bank. So there you go. It's clear that Russia holds full initiative and UA is just desperately trying to hold on for another few months, hoping for a miracle in a form of NATO troops.

In reality it did nothing and thousands of people died there for no reason.

  6.  @anderspuck  I could, but I picked the part which shows how wrong you were in your assessment of the situation. It never looked even slightly promising, it was clearly doomed from the begining, the foothold was definitely not getting stronger, only the heap of bodies was getting bigger. It wasn't just possible that Russia will push them back, it was a stone cold certainty. Come on.
