Russia controlled the dam and as the dam was the last part of the Dnieper cascade, it gave them control over the flow of the river in the Kherson region. After the dam was destroyed, they obviously lost this ability and it put them in disadvantage. Ukronazis could then freely cross the river without worrying about being cut off by Russians increasing the discharge from the dam. By all possible metrics, it was Ukraine who benefited.

"the devastation created by increasing the discharge would be a bit too hard even for the russian propaganda to blame on the ukrainians" - Why would Russian blame it on Ukraine? And where did you get the insane idea, that controlled discharge increase would cause any devastation at all? Are you insane? The facts stay the same, Russia was in control of the dam and could open the floodgates at any time, that was keeping Ukronazis from starting any crossing operations. And the destruction of the dam allowed Ukronazis to start crossing, as we can see now. Those are the facts and evidence pointing to Ukraine as the perpetrator. Clear and simple. You can cry some more now.
