  1. Nope, there's no chance Kiev oblast will remain as a state. To me the most plausible scenario is that Ukraine, after unconditional surrender, will conduct national referendum, in which people themselves will decide to either join RF as a federative state, or some parts may decide to join some demographically closer countries as shown on the map. For Kiev to remain as Ukraine would be a catastrophe, they would get stuck with all the debt the current criminal government accumulated.
