  1. An airstrike would leave an impact hole. This is shrapnel from a rocket exploding after take off from Gaza. The loss of life was mainly outside the hospital building in the grounds and from falling shrapnel. It's why so many casulties, as people were using it as a refuge knowing Israel wouldn't target it.
