Is he taking no wages during the strike same as his 'members'?

@J-D69 Why? A valid question to ask if a union boss is urging members to strike without pay whilst still taking a wage. Nice that he has enough spare cash to donate to a "hardship fund'. Scargill was a large part of causing the death of the mining industry due to political posturing and Lynch risks doing the same. Despite his assertions of public support, most I know don't support the strike.

@J-D69 cheers for the civil reply. I saw your other response about working practices etc. Whilst some of that may be fair, now is not the time to be striking. You’ve lost any public support whilst other more pressing issues face the majority of the country. Lynch and his ilk are trying to score political points just as unions did in 70s and early 80s. I suspect they want the fall of a Tory government more than any concern over safety or wages. I’m no fan of the government but whilst you may have a genuinely egalitarian outlook I still suspect for most strikers it’s about pay.
