  1.  @killa8507  if staff in the nationalised industries are paid on a performance basis it can work. The issue here is companies and shareholders strive for profit and dividends. An employee working for performance and efficiancy in a nationalised industry has the same effect but the outcome is the opposite.. saving money/resource without simply putting those savings into the pockets of the rich. The NHS unfortunately has become too bloated with middle management. Leagues mean nothing to them as no one is accountable. Tax loopholes I agree. I also think the financial market needs huge overhaul.

  2. The country was run better when we had mainly hereditary Lords. Since the politicalisation and being flooded with ex PM favourites things have got worse. This guy is a recent Lord, but those who can trace back hundreds of years and weren't allied to a political party did have real worth.

  11. I subscribe to this lady because she is articulate and clearly heartfelt. However, I urge people to ensure they listen to alternative views and www.lockdownsceptics.org and https://gbdeclaration.org/frequently-asked-questions/ are a good starting places for people that are sensible enough to want to consider two view points before making their own decisions. Unfortunately there are very few on either 'side' who do that.

Putin just wants a buffer and the large Russian speaking pro independance group in Donesk and Luhansk gave him an opportunity to get that buffer - I'm not condoning the invasion that but there is logic... just as with Crimea. Putin doesn't want Ukraine he just had to take out their offensive threat hence the withdrawal to the east once that's done. And he didn't want Finland... not sure if that is the case now.

  48.  @scottekoontz  shows what statistics can do hey. Anything so specific as 77% or 34.5% etc. is clearly made to meet an agenda... about 50% or about 75% would be more believable. "Vegetation cover above the tree line has increased by 77% in 40 years" that should help global warming then!
