  1. What I find amazing, and reluctantly impressive, is the way Chinese elite can dip into capitalism, get rich and still maintain such authoritarian control. The worry of course, with the way most of the UK population have accepted mask wearing, ritualised clapping, knee taking and 'almost' mandatory vaccines is that we are moving to this very same mode of government without most realising.
