Time will tell and none of us knows for sure but to suggest the Taliban took over a country that is the size of France & Germany combined, full of mountains, against a force five times as large by force & violence alone is a nonsense. Clearly a lot of Afghans support them... or at least prefer them over a UN/USA occupying force. We should stay out. RIP to all our soldiers who died for politicians vanity.

  3.  @AlAl-en9ce  fair point but they (Pashtuns) are the largest single group and historically have ruled the country pre Taliban days.
