@nedkelly4825 I'd suggest Hitler was was actually both... if you look at the horseshoe approach to defining political ideology then extreme left and extreme right are pretty much the same thing. There was also a clue in the name National (often associated with right) Socialist (often associated with the left) Party.

@nedkelly4825 well it is about viewpoints, but certainly most people would say nationalism more of a right wing position and Hitler certainly extolled that. The totalitarian regime imposed though is a facet of both far left and far right. Hence I feel extreme left and right wing positions are very similar in so many areas.
