  2.  @Biggerbadwolf  the only reason he'd do that is if we keep arming Ukraine and send troops. Putin certainly wants to restore Greater Russia and, with some justification, feels that much on Donesk should be part of it. As do a significant proportion of the population after civil war for years. Hopefully if Trump gets in, he'll ensure NATO stand back from a clearly antagonistic stance and they can have peace. It could have been brokered in 2021 but Boris stopped that trying to deflect from problems at home.
