Definitely a boatload cleaner than coal or gas plants, not sure it's cleaner than solar and wind though 😂 Unfortunately between the 3 you have to make some trade offs. Nuclear generates a crap ton more energy for its footprint, but is also a lot slower to build.

My dad was a chemical engineer and was talking about hydrogen vehicles in the mid 90's. Wish he was here to see the direction Toyota is looking. Re the power generation for EV, you're absolutely right as far as the power transmission goes but off the mark on how it's generated. Most jurisdictions have moved away from coal plants, and are using a mix of gas generation, solar, wind, and of course hydroelectric dams and nuclear. There's a lot of options to generate electricity, but the infrastructure to transmit it isn't there. Only regions that get a lot of sunlight could easily take advantage of full EV by encouraging homeowners and builders to add solar to dwellings. Every other current (hah) source of electricity requires too large a footprint to be useful in an urban setting. Hydrogen is attractive for a lot of reasons, but to me the big drawback is that it leaves the production and supply of energy in the hands of large corporations who are only interested in our wallets.

Damn, that walnut media is insane! I'd be tempted to add some numbered markings to the wand and hose just to have an accurate idea where the wand was. I'm assuming the walnut media is eventually going to abrade the hose, so it'd be good to know you were blowing past it as consistently as possible.

@emmettturner9452 Yeah, weighing the risk benefit is a little complicated. Windmills have a an immediate visible impact both on landscape and bird mortality. Nuclear plants on the other hand rely on mining for materials which has a less visible impact, but is still damaging. Mere mortals don't worry about it as much since it's largely out of sight and any environmental damage is in the future.
