  15. What ruined older Phila. was de-industrialization when factories shuttered because their owners wanted more profits and did not like unions. So they moved to other parts of the country or moved out of the country entirely. You really need to learn why Philadelphia's economy.was very different years ago. Frank Rizzo was mayor when that deindustrilization happened. Overbrook has has black people living in it for decades, btw. My Dad graduated from Overbrook HS in 1934. Plus there were Italians all over W. Philly years ago.

It's okay to just show up for sports games which is pretty much the only contact many suburbanites have with PHL. Or you use the airport.

  34. Krasner should have never been elected because he was not and still isn't an actual prosecutor. One of the problems is that the previous DA ,Seth Williams, was utterly corrupt and ended up in prison leaving the DA' s office in disarray. Then Krasner was elected in 2017. It will be a complete sh*t show until he is gone. BUT he will probably win again next month. Sigh.... Phila. deserves much better than him!

  35. Apparently most of this is happening in 4 zipcodes. Two in W. Phila and two in N. Phila. Even in W. Philly there are multiple neighborhoods where it's not going on. But, it does not change how awful it is for everyone who will be forever damaged by gun violence.
