  1. US spent almost 1 trillion dollars on Afghanistan......only 44 billion on reconstruction projects......rest was on military and the corrupt Afghan puppet government. If only they spend half that amount on schools and infrastructure then the Afghans would have something to fight for. If all the Afghan has to look forward to is bombings and killings, no wonder they would welcome the Talibans.

  2. Afghanistan has been bombed back to the stone age. What is there for them to fight for ? Reconstruction of the country didn't happen. Civilians die in the thousands year after year. For the average Afghan....probably enough is enough hence they welcome the Taliban. Imagine if half that money was made to improve the infrastructure and provide schools, hospitals and housing.....give the Afghans something to be proud off instead of bombing them on a daily basis. Afghanistan has been a warzone for the past 20 years.....allowing the US to test out its new weaponary. Did the Afghans recieve any respect from the US, Australian soldiers ? All the war crimes commited by the solders didn't help with the civilians did it ?

  3. India holds presidency of the UNSC......what has India done ? Perfect chance for India to prove it deserve a place in the UNSC. What cards does Modi hold ? Can India prove it can handle this situation on its doorstep ? If India fails to take this opportunity to assert its powers then it proves that India is just a paper tiger and doesn't warrant a place on the UNSC.
