What about the professional who was paid to be responsible, and told him the gun was clear?

What about the professional who was paid to be responsible, and told him the gun was clear? Would you trust an actor with your life? I sure wouldn't.
7
Yes, it does matter when you pay someone to be responsible for it. Baldwin is an actor, not a firearms expert.

What about the professional who was paid to be responsible, and told him the gun was clear?

I've seen people point guns at people all the time in movies.. It was a movie set, not a gun range.
4
And I've seen movies where they point guns at people.

@ColtonWalker073 What about the professional who was paid to be responsible, and told him the gun was clear?
3
@ozziewarrens8804 😂 I doubt it was a setup. I think somebody got their guns mixed up.
3
@stevena.7022 Sources on what does or doesn't "release the shooter from safety rules"? And what does it say about actors on a movie set?
3
@instantseven9270 I've seen people point guns at people in movies all the time.. They're not at a range, they're on a movie set.. Would you trust Alec Baldwin with your life?? He's an actor, I sure as hell wouldn't. "Common sense" would dictate that you don't have live rounds on a movie set.
3
@ronm6359 he wasn't there to fire a gun, he was there to act.
3
@JeffButtke Yes, it does. This isn't a gun range, it's a movie set. If you hire a professional to do a job you should be able to expect they're doing it properly.
2
What was the criminal intent?
2
@olteb3773 Even if he did check it, would you trust Alec Baldwin?
2
@bunnybunch5782 No, the problem was that someone you paid to do a job didn't do it. Sources on what an actor's job is? I feel like you just made that up.. last I checked their job was to act.
2
@instantseven9270 We're not talking about you, we're talking about a actor.. That's why a professional was hired to do the job for him.
2
It's not a gun range, it's a movie set.
2
@itsnotthesamething yes, protocol would be to have the professional make sure the gun was cleared.. obviously the person hired to do it broke protocol.. "you had 1 job".
2
@mmeiselph7234 they pay a professional for that. Would you trust Alec Baldwin with your life?
1
@mmeiselph7234 It's not his job to check it, they pay a professional to do that. It's also not a gun range, it's a movie set.
1
@mmeiselph7234 It's not a gun range, it's a movie set. He's not a "gun people", he's an actor. That's why they pay a professional to do it
1
@commandoslair9990 What about prop safety? What about the professional they hired to do that job? Would you trust Alec Baldwin? I sure as hell wouldn't.
1
@commandoslair9990 Yes, any who cares about gun safety would do that, but what about people who don't care? Like actors? That's why you hire a professional to do it.
1
@JeffButtke Says who?
1
@commandoslair9990 Why should an actor care about gun safety?? What do the laws say about gun safety? Would you trust Alec Baldwin with your life?
1
@commandoslair9990 BTW, your cult leader only won in the state of denial.
1
@captainamerica6525 I can tell you who's job it wasn't
1
@MAGGOT_VOMIT huh???? And what on earth makes you think I'm a "leftist"??
1
@stevena.7022 And I asked where you got that from. Specifically, what law are you referring to?
1
@VicNorth2023 then why hire a "firearm expert"???
1
@instantseven9270 Sources on what an actor's job is? I feel like you just made that up.. last I checked their job was to act.
1
@instantseven9270 So, no sources on what an actor's job is, and that's just how you "feel" about it? If that was his job, why bother hiring a professional?
1
@bunnybunch5782 Where do I look that up? Specifically, what law are you referring to? And what law says actors need to be firearms experts? Why would I know what laws regulate firearms, props, or ammunition on a movie set?? I own a body shop.
1
@bunnybunch5782 Perhaps these are all good reasons to hire an expert? Oh wait, they did.
1
@bunnybunch5782 I don't really care about anyone's "feelings".
1
@bunnybunch5782 What do you mean by "recklessly"? What dies the script he was rehearsing say he was supposed to do? He was told by the professional who was in charge of the firearm that it was "cold".. So he went about doing his job, and that was to act, not be a firearm expert.
1
@bunnybunch5782 Joking around on a movie set? So? You act like he was at a gun range or something.
1
@itsnotthesamething and?
1
@PK-bh1ww yup, the person who was contractually obligated to do it failed. Not the guy who is just supposed to act.
1
@dawnsealy9107 I see people pointing guns at people all the time in movies.
1
The NRA would do it for a few Russian rubles too.
