Vietnam isn't a shining example, but imagine if we has a president who negotiated a surrender with the North Vietnamese rather than organizing the withdrawal with the South Vietnamese government? Because that's exactly what the last president did, negotiated a surrender with the taliban, and left the Afghan government out of it. He even invited the Taliban to camp david.. Not that the ANA was any good, but I certainly wouldn't stick around if I hadn't been paid or replied in months.. after the surrender negotiations the writing was on the wall, corrupt ANA leaders stole everything they could, and the rest was handed to the Taliban, per the negation. BUT, at least we didn't go home to change our name and lower our flag like russia.
