Thank you for this video! Technically I'm procrastinating on YouTube, but thanks to you I'm thinking about interesting science news while doing it. That's high value procrastination. ;) The Hubble tension thing is really intriguing! Guess I need to check out your earlier video to see what the consequences of matter not being evenly distributed might be. The Spohn and Höning study seems a bit... suspect to me. (And yes, I'm an ignorant non-scientist person who hasn't read their paper, so my opinion isn't worth much.) They used a computer model that predicts the distribution of water and land on Earth-like planets, but we don't even know for sure how Earth got its water. If our water came from comets and asteroids, wouldn't that be a wildly variable factor in other star systems? Depending on where the Earth-like planet formed in its accretion disk it might have radically more or less water than we do - then there's the bombardment factor to consider, which would depend upon the distribution of other objects in that star system. I don't think we can confidently make predictions like "most Earth-like planets will have tiny oceans."
