  1. Food shortages would mean we have three out of four horsemen, with only the Big D left out. I'm not saying this is any kind of apocalypse, but the last few years sure have been interesting times. In a way it's kind of like a stress test for the challenges of the future, when there will be other diseases and a lot more people that need to be fed with less land. If our interconnected economies and supply chains make it to, let's say 2025, without major disruption, that may actually be a positive sign that shows we're on track to meet future challenges.
