  2. The key is that having some money gives you options. You're not forced to take the first available job because you need their health plan, or have to live in a place you don't like because it's all you can afford.

  3. Now inherited wealth, that's what really messes you up! Isn't there a statistic that 70% of wealthy families lose their money in the second generation? And something like 90% of them lose it by the third.
