"...Eastern Europe will slowly shift the EU's Western European weighted influence with Western Europe becoming this century's Sick Man of Europe (the dependency ratio tipping points of these countries are already upon them)... " Pardons if I'm misunderstanding, but if the problem is not enough productive citizens in Western Europe, couldn't they just bring them over from Eastern Europe? If all the nations are in the EU that will probably just happen naturally without any government policies to spur it on. The countries that are already wealthy will stay wealthy, while the countries that aren't wealthy will become poorer and more empty.
