  1. I never understood why Elon Musk wanted to buy Twitter in the first place. It seemed like a huge distraction for him, when he already has real companies trying to accomplish difficult things like making self-driving cars and going to Mars. As far as I can tell, Twitter is Elon's kryptonite - it inspires his worst behavior and most regrettable decisions. As for Twitter itself, it's hugely influential (with the "right" trendy people), but still stubbornly unprofitable. I'm not sure how anyone could change that.
