  1. That was amazing. After watching the video my mind is swirling with all the things you said, but... you're right. You're right about everything you said. One thing I'd add is the connection between conspiracism and the need for religion. You said that conspiricism is socialism for stupid people, but I think it's also religion for people who no longer truly believe in religion, or at least no longer get satisfaction from it. Those needs conspiricism satisfies: intentionalism, dualism, and symbolism used to be met by religion. Belief in religion is declining rapidly throughout the West, except supposedly in America. But I think a lot of people who say they're Christians in America aren't really religious in the classic sense. They don't go to Church every Sunday to receive social reinforcement of their beliefs. Religion doesn't satisfy them anymore, because like everyone else in modern life they're fragmented and alone. Conspiracism satisfies the same needs as religion: the belief in a purposeful universe, the struggle between good and evil, and the use of symbolism that they can learn to find out the truth that's hidden from ordinary people. And on top of that it connects them with other conspiracy theorists in a new community. Instead of meeting with the neighbors at mass they meet them virtually at Q Drops.
