  1. One of the novels in the stack behind Seth is "The Laughing Policeman." That's a deep cut. It's hard to believe that Seth or his family are into Swedish mystery novels from 1971, so maybe this is evidence that the books really are spontaneously breeding...

  2. Are we talking the original meaning of batman here - that is, a personal servant to a commissioned officer? Because I can see that happening. (Maybe he was an old dude who served Seth's granddad in the war. That would explain the books.) Or are we talking about the more modern and nonsensical Batman? I really hope it's the latter.
