  1. Seth is absolutely right. It is ridiculous that they're trying to confirm Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court when the President himself looks more and more unfit for office, even according to people who work for Trump. But that's the whole reason the Republicans are still supporting Trump - they want Kavanaugh in there so he can use the Supreme Court to hold back any future Democratic Administration. The Republicans know they're going to get obliterated in 2018 (and probably 2020), but with a conservative court they think they can hold the "gains" they've made over the last two years (the tax lowering and regulation slashing). It's party before country for them.
