  1. I guess it all comes down to if you think impeachment would actually accomplish anything. Pelosi knows that the Senate would never allow Trump to be impeached, so she's afraid of the political consequences of what would turn out to be a purely symbolic action. Other Democrats want to proceed with impeachment because it's the proper legislative remedy for a President who's been involved with so much underhanded and criminal activity. They still have faith in the system.
