  1. I enjoyed watching the video, but this is one of the rare times I disagree with Seth. I don't watch Fox News, and I haven't read any of the Dr. Seuss books in question, but I just can't support censorship. Not even voluntary censorship done by the publisher like in this case. The ideal solution would be to just leave everything alone, keep publishing the books and let parents decide if they want their children to read them. A not-so-good solution is what they're doing by discontinuing the books. The worst solution would be to do what Seth suggests: replace the offending parts with "corrected" images and texts. I just don't think we have the right to alter someone else's work, whether that's a children's book, an old cartoon or a classic novel. They used to call that bowdlerization, and when the Victorians did it to Shakespeare they were rightly mocked.
