@nickwallette6201 My understanding (as a regular person on the Internet, not a doctor) is that it isn't known how long natural immunity to Covid will last. There's a chance that someone who already had Covid will have immunity for a while, but it will gradually decrease over time. The vaccine is a way to wake up and optimize your immune system so you can be sure you won't get or transmit the virus. Also the MRNA vaccines target a specific part of the virus that isn't likely to mutate, so if you're vaccinated you should have a resistance to all of the variant strains out there.
