A Luke Skywalker animated series: YES. A sequel to Rise of Skywalker: NO. Just do an animated series starring Luke that's set in the same "five years past EpisodeVI" era as The Mandalorian.

I think we all know The Acolyte isn't going to be a real Star Wars show. It's a Kathleen Kennedy containment device, a very expensive way to let her do what she wants without messing up the rest of the franchise. The only people watching it will be those "new fans" she's looking for. Guess we'll finally see how many of them there are.

I think Luke saw the flashback too. If anything it probably showed Luke that Grogu isn't a blank slate - he's been through a lot, and that trauma may be preventing him from wanting to progress.

The irony is Kennedy doesn't have to do anything. If she just stayed quiet and took credit for Favreau and Feloni's success her reputation in Hollywood would be enhanced. But by doing her own show and (if these rumors are true) trying to sabotage Feloni and Favreau's plans, she's just drawing a vivid distinction in everyone's minds between "her" Star Wars and theirs.

"...it's not the fan's right to demand what the writers are to create on this blank canvas." Well it's certainly our right to decide what we pay attention to, and I plan to pay no attention to "The Acolyte." Not even going to hate watch it.

I hope you're right, Mike Zeroh. That sounds wonderful.

Honestly, I think it may have been a good idea to keep characters like Luke and Ahsoka for season two. It gave the show a chance to develop Din Djarin without overshadowing him.

I don't think changing Anakin's fate is a good idea. He's probably the most central character in the whole saga. Everything starts with him. And frankly, he had a good story that ended well. Changing Mace's fate... I don't really care for that idea either. His death was the event that pushed Anakin decisively to the Dark Side, so changing that weaken's Anakin's story. Changing Ben Solo... Oh yeah, they could totally do that. Once again we're talking about a pretty central character, but in this case one that was terribly underwritten and killed off to prop up Rey. I like the idea of changing his fate, or really the fate of anyone from the sequels. Change away.
