  1. Well, good luck to him. I hope both of the billionaires are successful in their space ventures. Bezos has a more polished presentation but fewer specifics than his competition. Still though, he's right about the "two gates" and the idea that giant colonies in orbit will be of more use to planet Earth than a colony on Mars. Or at least they could be more useful if there's a truly gigantic construction infrastructure in place to build and support them. The funny thing is that Bezos's vision would have a greater impact on ordinary people, but it might be generations before we can build it. Meanwhile, Musk's vision of a Mars colony might not make much difference to the price of beans here on Earth, but it does seem much more achievable today, or at least within our lifetimes.
