  1. I still wouldn't want to stand in front of one of those avalanches. Dust going at 21 m/s might not be enough to knock you over, but it would probably coat your entire suit, including the faceplate, in layers of fine electrostatically charged dust. It might be impossible to wipe enough of it off to let you see again, then there's the possibility that it might clog your radiator and get inside the joints. And maybe there's one or two chunks of ice coming down that 500 meter cliff...
