  1. Musk might prefer to learn from success rather than failure, but that's just not how the universe works. Everybody screws up and makes mistakes far more often than we get things right. Even people who are the very top of their profession got there by many thousands of hours of practice. The metaphorical road to Mars is built on failures like this one, as well as the successes. It's unfortunate that this explosion happened, but now they have one more thing to learn from so it won't happen when there's a crew inside a Starship.
