  1. Conservative Lantern So that's where the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) got their marching operational orders - at the Australian Press Club direct from James Clapper. The Comey Testifying segment on the 7:30 Report tonight was so unbelievably lame and propagandist, it was embarrassing to watch. I thought maybe there was a morph into comedy, except it wasn't funny. The reporter acting wasn't bad, if compared with Meryll Streep, although that's not really a meaningful benchmark. I wonder how they feel, those reporters, having to lie and act and not report. I wonder how they face their spouses and children. Or are they led to believe they are doing this for the greater good?

  2. Conservative Lantern Sounds like a no win situation - being given responsibility without authority. I hope you are on the lookout for alternative employment and wish you the best. In the meantime I would make it a normal practice to be documenting every little out of place thing, ensure all email correspondence was cc'd to a third person in the organisation and ensre all verbal exchanges took place with three or more people. Not trying to sound paranoid but better safe than sorry if one your subordinates goes too far and tries to pin the responsibility on you.
