The answer to that is "Are they like this on one wheel or four?"

Also saves on washup time!

I use 3M Post-It notes just for myself. Your story did remind me that decades ago, when I was a dealer shop gofer, it was my job at the end of the day to pull as many of the German luxury cars into the shop as possible so the drug-addicted DIN-radio thieves didn't smash and grab through the night. One car I pulled in had an oil hose disconnected and I left a long trail into the shop, people yelling and waving their arms. In the aftermath it was agreed that a sign would have helped prevent that.

@whatwasthat3269 Also, it's engine! It's both! Ambiguity! Can the pedants cope? Maybe they should go nag people who say "buffalo" instead of "bison" next.

@philspear73 Available from industrial supply places like McMaster-Carr. I'm a fan of them, too. Always the right tension, never too much, too little, no follow-up tightening required (great for inaccessible spots) and most importantly, not low tension when needed most -- high heat. There are some Gates videos out there about how their heat-shrink hose clamps are the best, but in the comparisons they show, the spring clamps are in 2nd place. Having the right tools/pliers for them makes them a lot less annoying.

And all of your work has a lifetime warranty!

Mo Si = molybdenum disulfide? I like Liqui Moly part #2019.

Sunex sells "driveline sockets" like that -- and they have a little bit of wobble built into the socket at the end of an extension.

I dunno, is it made by the Honda Motor Co.? The Yamaha Motor Co.? The Bayerische Motoren Werkes? I'm not a motorcycle guy -- that was a quick effort on my part. Get me started with car company names and I'll be here all day. Whoever started this bit of fussy pedantry about motor vs. engine (I've seen it elsewhere on YouTube) is a dope.

I think what drove this was exchange rates in many cases, and in other cases, bringing in something you couldn't get otherwise. The manufacturers hated this, no warranty, no dealer repairs, no parts support. It wasn't a common thing. It could really be a job -- not just cats but US spec safety glass, I think fire-retardant carpeting, all sorts of things. I'm sure Kenny could do a 15 minute video just on this!

List of types of hose clamps that need to go behind the bulge in the coolant flange: 1. All

@TheOnespeedbiker Ha! I didn't even get on my "change your hoses before they ruin your day, silly" soapbox! 😁

NO CAR BUT ... ENGPAR?

@whatwasthat3269 Sorry, my comments were not directed at you, but the people causing the silly problem.

Thanks! I was wondering if you were from some place far from NC!😃

Who said the oil needed "stabilizing" in the first place?!

Re-check your work because the customer isn't supposed to be a test driver!

Everybody's talking about brakes in these comments --- but why are you sitting on the right hand side at the end? Image flip, or right hand drive rural mail carrier truck?

I woke up this morning and thought about it again. Whoever did this, if they thought they could do a motor, they've probably already done brakes.

I've heard people here on these YouTubes see that they've seen them fail. I don't know if they work on one brand of car or in the rust belt. I made one fail decades ago by storing it squeezed-open in a pair of 10" Vice Grips while a project was on hold. When I went to install it on a later project, it cracked and had zero tension. That one's on me!

You can't get what you don't pay for.
