Furstbdays of the war I heard a lot about NATO unity... having served in a NATO member state's armed forces I can say from experience and reading that member states often have wildly contradicting views, this translates to incompatible military aims. A couple of countries want to invade Russia, a few want to sit on the fence a few wish it would quietly go away si they can concentrate on their own problems (Germany).
