  1. If people are so desperate to live as member of the opposite sex, why do they never have any friends from that sex who arent fellow travellers? One might have expected a certain natural affinity with natural born men and wij, after all isnt that how you're going to live from that day forwards? If you aren't going to stand a chance being identified as a man/woman to such a degree that it requires opening every sentence with "as a trans man/woman" then is there really much point in all the mutilation work? I'd love to be wrong, I just don't see it.
