Easy fix. The band director gets fired and the band gets suspended from playing at any and all high school events for the rest of the year. Actions have consequences. A lesson these students need to learn. It’s a good life lesson for all of them.

Well as a “Leader” and an adult charged with the responsibility of taking care and “leading” these kids he did a terrible job. He was given a lawful order by the Police, ok he didn’t like it so he chooses this path?? In what universe does not complying with a lawful order and then putting hands on the Police work out for him?? It doesn’t, it can’t. If he didn’t like being told they can’t play anymore than there’s a correct way going about things. This was not it and an absolutely terrible chose “ he made”. The kids should have stopped too when the Police were telling them too. They thought it was funny and it wasn’t. They need to be held accountable for what they chose to do as well. Sorry not sorry that in a civilized and law bidding society that when the Police give you a “lawful” order you should comply or face the consequences.
