  1. Facts about Marianne. 1. She's made it her first order of business to submit legislation to Congress for publicly funded elections. 2. She went to Saigon during the Vietnam war to see the cost of war. 3. She worked to help aids patients in the eighties, and founded Project Angel Food. 4. She was the first candidate to sign the progressive pledge. 5. She has designed a detailed and concrete plan for reparations for slavery. 6. She supports freedom of religion as well as the separation of church and state, and although spiritual, is not affiliated with any particular religious group. 7. She has funded her campaign solely on individual donations, eschewing corporate PAC money.

  2. The point of "never again" is to prevent it from happening again, not to say that the situation at the border is ALREADY like the concentration camps in the second world war. What Marianne is saying is, do we have to wait for it to get that bad to take it seriously?

  3. Well they do. And a president's job description is extremely different from a senetor's. She's been working for forty years as a humanitarian. She went to Saigon during the Vietnam war. Honestly I think a humanitarian is way more qualified than a politician at this point. What is a politician but a pathological liar?

  13. I don't know if I agree with "her celebrity got her on the debate stage" I think it's equally fair to say, "The people got her on the debate stage". It certainly wasn't corporations.

  25.  @mcnally211  First of all she's not against Tulsi and Bernie. She's very much in harmony with them as well as the honourable Mr. Yang. The experience she has is in the field of advocacy and humanitarian work which is a different kind of political experience. Elected officials operate in a very specific, and sometimes limited way. What she's offering, that's a bit different is that plan for publicly funded elections. I do believe Tulsi has signed a resolution for Reparations but Marianne has laid out a policy plan for it. No policy is going to pass the senate without removing the influence of the lobbyists. No candidate is accountable without the sanctity of the fourth estate. Both Tulsi and Marianne have come up with ideas to address these issues. It's wholly possible that Yang and Bernie have also, in ways I'm not yet aware of.
